The Ultimate Lab is my iteration of Ray Wilson‘s Sound Lab Ultimate. This module is the first major building block of my modular, and a hefty one at that. With three voltage controlled oscillators, two low frequency oscillators, a great resonant low-pass filter, an envelope generator, a noise source, a mixer, and a voltage controlled amplifier, this module was all I needed to begin the modular, and have many sound synthesis capabilities right off the bat.
The Ultimate Lab contains the original circuit, modified to bring many of its hardwired patching to its patchbay, as well as featuring a modified mixer, original ring modulator circuit, as well as an original faceplate and interface for the module. It was fitted into the spalted maple modular case that I built to house this and two benjolin circuits.
Check out the modular page for the cabinet I built that this module sits in.
